Prenatal & Postpartum Massage
Growing a new human being is hard - the body and mind both go through so many intense changes that often it's hard to adjust. Regularly receiving massage during pregnancy is a fabulous way to de-stress and release excess muscle tension, while helping assist your body in remaining limber for labor. In general, massage naturally reduces anxiety, helps decrease symptoms of depression, and relieve muscle and joint aches and pains. During pregnancy it can also help reduce swelling, regulate mood, and improve cardiovascular health.

Once baby has joined you, massage can be a wonderful way to help the body adjust to the new normal in your life. Breastfeeding can lead to tight muscles in your shoulders, arms, and upper back, as can carrying around an adorable newborn. As your body returns to a non-pregnant state, lax ligaments and over-stretched muscles can cause pain and discomfort. Receiving massage postpartum can not only help with the physical discomforts, but also help you relax and take time for yourself, which will be beneficial to both you and baby!
